Tangelo – Minneloa

The Tangelo is a hybrid of the tangerine (mandarin) and a grapefruit. Like the tangerine has a skin that is very easy to peel making it popular for eating fresh. The Minneloa is very sweet and extremely juicy.

The Tangelo is a hybrid of the tangerine (mandarin) and a grapefruit. Like the tangerine, has a skin that is very easy to peel. This makes it popular for eating fresh. The Minneloa is tart and extremely juicy. They are distinguished by their elongated “neck”. Containing very few seeds, the Minneloa is ready to harvest mid to late season.

The Minneloa will have better production with cross-pollination but it is not compatible with the Orlando Tangelo.
