The Wine Pack Includes 2 each of wine grape: cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, merlot, and zinfandel.
Merlot: Yields wines of fine bouquet that are softer, more supple in texture and ages more rapidly than those of Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium sized, round, bluish-black fruit. Medium to large clusters, long conical, loose to compact. Spur or cane pruning. Self Fertile.
Harvest: Late September to Early October
Chardonnay: The Chardonnay Grape (occasionally called Pinot Chardonnay) produces some of the very best dry white wines in the world. It makes wines of great depth and finesse, with almost a creamy richness in the best vintages. With a fruity character, subsequent barrel-influenced flavors can include oak and vanilla, with creamy or buttery elements gained during fermentation.
Harvest: Late August
Cabernet Sauvignon: Small, spherical. Black, very seeded. Renowned red wine grape. Cane pruning.
Harvest: September to October
Zinfandel: Used in many different styles, of wine. When made into red wine, Zinfandel can produce robust reds with berrylike, spicy (sometimes peppery) flavors. Enough depth, complexity, and longevity to be compared to Cabernet Sauvignon. Another style is White Zinfandel, a fruity-flavored white wine that’s usually slightly sweet and ranges in color from light to dark pink.
